In order to improve access to finance for these vulnerable households, beneficiaries are supported to manage their finances

Caritas Kabale is the social services and economic development Department of Kabale Diocese mandated to improve the livelihoods of the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized persons through programs such as; Sustainable agriculture, Environmental conservation and protection, Financial literacy and entrepreneurship, Women promotion, health and sanitation, Support to orphans and vulnerable children, Climate Change mitigation and others
Caritas Kabale diocese started in 1984 to spearhead the socio-economic development in the six (6) districts of Kabale, Kisoro, Kanungu, Rubanda, Rukiga and Rukungiri that make up Kabale diocese. The new districts of Rubanda and Rukiga were added in 2016 and 2017 respectively. These districts were curved out of Kabale district. To this end, Caritas Kabale diocese serves six districts in the southwestern region of Uganda.
