Impact of The Loan Program from TCP Global through Caritas Kabale Diocese

From Struggling to Thriving.

Tumuranze Patience, a dedicated mother from a rural community in the Rubanda District of southwestern Uganda, faced daily struggles to provide for her family. Limited income sources and dwindling soil fertility made it difficult to grow enough food or generate sufficient income.

Caritas Kabale Diocese continues to empower communities to build resilient livelihoods through sustainable Agriculture.

The omukyisaama Tree nursery Bed in kaharo subcounty,Kabale District has raised over 4380 coffee seedings ready for transplanting at the onset of the rains.

The seedlings which are valued at UGX6million based on the current market price of dry coffee beans at UGX 12,000 per kilogram will be planted by community members to improve household incomes and promote environmental conservation.

Great strides for SDG6

Meet Mrs Feresta Kankwerere, a 69-year-old resident of Kagorogoro, Nyamweru subcounty, Rubanda district, is a proud farmer who benefited from a water tank provided by Caritas Kabale Diocese, with support from Misereor. She expresses sincere gratitude to Caritas for enabling her and other households to access clean water, significantly improving their well-being (Love in action). "Previously, I had to travel long distances for clean water, while many others relied on contaminated water from the swamp stream", Feresta testified.
